Get to know Mallory
Mallory is a long time lover of photography and expressive art. After years a playing around with everything from painting to sculpting to digital arts. Mallory fell in a love with photography it not only let her be creative, it let her freeze time and emotion and use her own vision to capture it that best and most beautiful way possible. Her first camera 11o mm that she lovingly wore slung around her wrist all through elementary school. In high school her granddad upgraded her to Canon Elph, that again hung out around her wrist and in her bag.
It wasn’t until the birth of her first child in 2010 that she decided to really get into taking photos and taking them the right way. She started a blog to document motherhood that was successful called Mallory’s Musings. During this time, Mallory took photos daily and not only learned how to shoot in manual but she began to really understand the ins and outs of editing photos as well. After the birth of her second child, she stopped blogging to focus on potentially becoming a professional photographer. Instead of blogging any spare minutes were dedicated to learning all things photography. Long hours were spent online taking courses, finding inspiration and absorbing all there is to know. Most importantly she just got out there and practiced on friends, family and basically anyone interested in having a photo shoot done.
In June 2014 she decided to take the plunge and open a Facebook page to get her name out there and expand her clientele. A few months after launching her Facebook page she saw that this could really be something. Not only were people responding to her photos but she was loving getting out there and working with new people and finding really amazing locations to shoot. She started networking with photographers that she admired and mentored and took a workshop with Twig & Olive Photography, which really solidified her desire to make Mallory Rubino Photography a wonderful and unique photography business.
