It’s my first official photo post, woo hoo!  Plus, it’s my gorgeous niece Harper who I’m sure you are familiar with if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram.  I’ve been doing mini shoots for her every three months since she’s been born.  I’m currently putting together a package for first year minis for all of my clients so that you guys can also capture all of those precious first year milestones.  I’m still just figuring out the best way to do it, payment and package wise.

We did Harper’s shoot at the park, around 9 in the morning.  My preference is to shoot during the golden hour which is the hour before sunset but since it’s summertime and the sun sets really late, I’ve been doing a lot of shoots early morning in shady areas to avoid the heat and harsh sun.  Also to keep those little babes happy because we all know kiddos tend to be happiest in the morning before anything has a chance to bum them out.

Harper is at a fun stage right now.  She’s crawling, babbling, laughing, waving and all sorts of other new things.  The best part?  The way we got those big giggle smiles on the day bed was by her mom sternly saying, “no!”  One of most difficult tasks of parenting is holding back our own giggles when kiddos are being bad in the most hilarious ways.  This was one of those moments for sure.

Hi Loves!  Welcome to my new website/blog.  Big things have been happening with Mallory Rubino Photography lately.  I’m re-inventing myself from a one price, all digital downloads, basic photographer to a full service custom photography studio which is much more my style and something that I am be really proud and enthusiastic about.  Next step is a studio, mainly for newborns and viewing you photos and purchasing products but now I’m getting ahead of myself.  All in due time.

All the info that you need to know, you can find under the tabs at the top of my page and you can even contact me through the contact tab to ask questions or book a shoot.  The blog portion of this website will feature the my favorite photos and some backstory of most of my shoots.  On Facebook you only see 1-5 shots from my shoots when in reality there are many more that I deliver with my galleries.    In addition to showcasing my work, I will also be posting time to time about my family and my constantly evolving photography journey.  This will give my customers  chance to really get to know me and see if I am the right fit for their family.

I am beyond excited and will start posting some of my favorite sessions from the past year or so here.  Everytime that I have a new blog post, I will let you know on facebook and twitter.  I think that’s it for now, stay tuned for my first photo post and please let me know in the comments if there is anything else you would like to see on the blog or website.
